The motorsport world is still curious to know about the condition of injured Formula 1 driver Michael Schumacher. Many Wheels24 readers believe fans deserve to know his status.
Earlier in August, FIA president Jean Todt called for the world to leave F1 legend Schumacher and his family “in peace”.
The condition of the seven time world champion remains unknown following his horror skiing accident in 2013.
FIA president Todt, who was once Schumacher’s Ferrari team boss and remains a close family friend, told the Argentine daily La Nacion: “He is surrounded by his family and relatives.
“I feel blessed to have frequent access, but his health is a private matter and I think it’s time for us to let Michael live his life in peace. I repeat, it’s time for us to let Michael live his life in peace.”
Wheels24 reader, Carl Rupperburg, says: “People care for other people. Maybe some clarity will help fans understand better and naturally back off in time.
“Having said all that, the vulturous paparazzi who hound the family and friends of Schumacher need to back off. Reporting is one thing, harassment is unacceptable.”
