Heavyweight prospect Efe Ajagba got a shocking first round win on Friday night, but not in the way you’d imagine.
The Nigerian 24-year-old (now 6-0) won by disqualification after his opponent decided that he didn’t want to fight after all.
Harper left when the first bell rang
American Curtis Harper (now 13-6) walked to the ring, climbed through the ropes, went through the standard introductions, touched gloves with his opponent… and then the bell rang.
Rather than walk to centre of the ring and initiate combat, Harper then opted to jump back through the ropes and walk to his dressing room.
He reportedly told a ringside journalist that it was over a pay dispute, you can watch the full video below.
