Triple H told ESPN’s Get Up: “I can tell you this, we brought him to the Performance Centre in Orlando, Florida and he’s been in the ring training with us.

“He’s like a fish to water. The athleticism, the footwork that he has is incredible. He fits right into this.”

Fury is expected to beat Strowman in Saudi Arabia with other boxers going over in WWE in the past.

Floyd Mayweather was victorious over The Big Show at WrestleMania 24 and Ricky Hatton won an impromptu match against Chavo Guerrero in 2009.

When asked what attracted WWE to sign Fury, the company’s Executive Vice President of Talent, Live Events and Creative said: “Well firstly, we look for athletes from all over the globe from every sport, every walk of life.

“But for us to have somebody at the height, popularity and recognisably of a Tyson Fury, this came to my attention months ago [with] the alliance between Top Rank and ESPN Plus, I went to the [Vasyl] Lomachenko fight about the time he was signing with Top Rank.

“It just opened my eyes to that possibility and we had a moment in time when we could get something done with him, we made the offer and he was thrilled to do it.

“It worked out perfectly for us. He’ll say it, I’ll say it, he’s custom-made for this.

“It [WWE] is sports entertainment, he is the entertainment that goes with the sport.”
