Manchester United flop Alexis Sanchez is at his lowest ebb since joining the club. The striker is currently away training with Chile ahead of their games against Costa Rica and Honduras where he is said to be “acting weird”. The 29-year-old was only named as a substitute for the 3-1 Manchester derby defeat to City at the weekend and was “furious” at not making the starting XI. (The Sun)

Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are pursuing the signature of Eric Bailly. The Cote d’Ivoire defender – brought to Manchester United for an initial transfer fee of €35million in the summer of 2016 – has been frustrated by his recent exclusion from the first team and is unsettled at the club. Atletico Madrid are desperately trying to tie down Diego Godin to a new contract – to fend off renewed interest from Manchester United. Old Trafford boss Jose Mourinho wanted Godin last summer but ended up getting nowhere, yet United are still interested for next summer. (Daily Mirror)

Everton have initiated talks with Manchester United over a move for Marcos Rojo in the January transfer window.The Argentine is yet to feature for the Red Devils this season and Jose Mourinho is happy to let him go in order to raise funds for a new centre-back in January. (Metro)

Bayern Munich are confident they have won the race to sign Aaron Ramsey. The Arsenal midfielder is available on a lucrative free transfer this summer when his Arsenal contract expires.
