He revealed on his Hotboxin’ podcast: “I remember one day I got pulled over, I’m drunk, I’m high. So they pulled me over and they said, “Pull up on the kerb”.

“So I pull up, I go on the kerb… boom boom! Oh s***! The cop turns and looks and he goes, ‘Oh s*** Mike Tyson! F****** hell!’”

But that wasn’t all, Tyson then went onto say that the police officer even helped him get to a destination.

Tyson added: “So I said, ‘Sir, can you help me get to this address?’ Then he took me to the f****** address where the drug spot was and I said, ‘Thank you sir’ and I was free!

“Oh s***! I’m high as a motherf*****.”

Tyson has hit the headlines a lot lately ahead of a proposed return to boxing, 15 years after retiring from the sport he was in for the best part of two decades.

The American, 53, looks in great shape in videos he’s posted of himself working out.

It’s understood that he will take part in exhibition bouts for charity, with the likes of Evander Holyfield keen on the idea of a third confrontation with him. Shannon Briggs has also expressed an interest.

Dave Allen believes ‘Iron Mike’ should not make a return to the ring though on account of being too old.

Allen told talkSPORT: “If I got offered the Mike Tyson fight, the money would be fantastic but it wouldn’t sit right, would it?

“A lot of people would laugh at this, but this is the facts – I would beat a 53-year-old Mike Tyson.

“And that is the saddest thing any boxing fan wants to hear.

“For that reason alone, he should never box again. I think fighting’s a young man’s game.”
