The striker’s current deal is set to expire at the end of next season and the Red Devils are keen to get him to commit his long-term future to the club
Manchester United are reportedly confident Marcus Rashford will sign a new long-term contract that will see his wages go up to £200,000-a-week.
The 21-year-old’s current deal runs out at the end of the 2019/20 season, although United would almost certainly take up the option to extend it by a further year.
The Press Association report that the forward is close to signing a new and improved deal to stay at the club long-term.
The Mail Online report that he is line for a bumper pay rise to £200,000-a-week, nearly double his current wage.
If they can agree a new deal soon then it will be a big boost to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as he looks to build his squad around the younger players.
The 21-year-old has established himself as an important player at Old Trafford since bursting onto the scene in a Europa League tie against FC Midtjylland in February 2016.
