Following their dismal 2-0 loss at Red Star Belgrade on matchday four, Liverpool are second on head-to-head behind Napoli, a point ahead of PSG and two points ahead of the Serbian side.

The Premier League side’s preparations hit a snag when it was reported that Sadio Mane could miss the game through illness, however, the forward is in Liverpool’s 21-man squad for so could start.

Meanwhile, the French champions could be without star players Kylian Mbappe and Neymar, who both sustained injuries during the international break but they will face late fitness tests.

This is a contest that Liverpool can ill-afford to lose as they’ll go into the final game against Napoli at Anfield likely to need to win by more than one goal.
