The heavyweights will do battle at the O2 Arena on Saturday night
Joseph Parker insists he will be unaffected by whatever mental games Dillian Whyte attempts to play in the build up to their meeting this weekend, live on talkSPORT.
The pair clash in a heavyweight showdown with both men chasing down a rematch against unified world champion Anthony Joshua.
Joshua is the only man to have beaten either of the two men, hence why they intend to eventually secure revenge.
First however, they must seek to get past one another.
30-year-old Whyte is likely to try, as he usually does, to gain a mental advantage over his opponent by utilising various forms of trash talk.
However, 26-year-old Parker assured talkSPORT that the Brit will do no such thing.
“We know he’s gonna come out and say a few things to try and get under our skin,” the former world champion admitted.
“Whatever he does, we won’t be surprised. We’re ready for it.
“We’re just gonna approach it the way we approach things. Cool, calm.”
The initial press conferences for the bout took place several weeks ago and were largely respectful, however Parker isn’t expecting that theme to continue.
“I think it’ll all be different, but we’re expecting anything and everything so we won’t be surprised.
“We’re looking forward to seeing what he’s going try and bring on fight week to try and get us off track, but we’re focussed and we know what we want.”
Dillian Whyte v Joseph Parker is live on talkSPORT this Saturday, July 28.
