The Manchester City star decided to let off some steam while his former teammates were out in Russia doing the business
Football may well be coming home, but Joe Hart has been there all summer long.
The goalkeeper, who has 75 caps for his country, turned out for Shrewsbury in their Birmingham League Premier Division match against Knowle and Dorridge.
However, he had a bit of a nightmare at the crease.
The 31-year-old batted at number nine in the order for his local side, but was dismissed for just six.
However, he did show off his handling skills as he made a catch to dismiss Ethan Brookes, although it was not enough as his side lost by a wicket.
Prior to his footballing days, Hart played cricket at a decent standard and could have played for Worcestershire after spending two years in the academy!
The Manchester City goalkeeper has endured a difficult few years.
He has won 75 caps for England and was their number one at the last World Cup and the 2016 European Championship.
But, despite playing a part in England’s qualification for this summer’s tournament, he was was omitted by manager Gareth Southgate from the 23-man squad.
Jordan Pickford has got the nod between the sticks, with Jack Butland and Nick Pope as his back-ups, and has repaid Southgate with some starring performances.
He made three incredible saves during the quarter-final clash in Samara which had fans comparing him to Manchester United star David De Gea.
