Shelly Finkel is not happy with Eddie Hearn
Deontay Wilder’s co-manager Shelly Finkel claims Eddie Hearn has not responded to an important email in talks for the Anthony Joshua fight.
America’s WBC heavyweight champion last week publicly declared that he had “agreed” to his British rival’s terms and then demanded a contract.
Hearn sent the contract on Monday, but Finkel has now told World Boxing News that Joshua’s promoter has subsequently gone quiet.
“We looked at the contract on Monday and raised two specific details in the paperwork that we needed clarification of,” the veteran manager explained.
“It’s frustrating as Eddie Hearn is stating in the media that we need to be quick and sign the contract, but how can we sign if they don’t respond to our email and clarify our concerns?”

The worrying update casts doubt on whether the fight will happen next, as Hearn has previously declared that, if contractual issues with Wilder’s team drag on, then they would swiftly switch focus and face Alexander Povetkin instead.
