Giroud and Arnautovic’s stats certainly do not suggest they have more of a knack in front of goal as stand-in Drivetime host Sam Matterface was quick to point out
Stand-in Drivetime host Sam Matterface was left stunned when Arsenal fan Ash called talkSPORT to say Harry Kane was not even in the top ten Premier League finishers.
But Ash left Matterface perplexed after claiming the likes of Marko Arnautovic and Olivier Giroud had more of an eye for goal than the Tottenham and England forward.
It all started when Matterface put forward the question to listeners on whether Kane was the best finisher in the world following his heroics during England’s Nations League win over Croatia on Sunday.
And Ash certainly had plenty to say for himself when he made his appearance on national radio!
He said: “There are at least about five players better than him [Kane] at finishing; I’m not even going to talk about the trophies he HASN’T won yet.
“He’s not even in the top ten finishers in the Premier League at the moment.

“You’ve got Arnautovic and if you have Giroud on a good day he’s better, I’m not even going to talk about Sergio Aguero or Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino Sadio Mane or Jamie Vardy, there are so many players above Kane at the moment.
“He CAN be the best. He isn’t at the moment but he can be.
Kane has 114 Premier League goals in 165 appearances for Spurs.
And although Arnautovic has been in good goalscoring form since joining West Ham, he only has 38 goals in 160 appearances in English football.
Meanwhile, Giroud has been in rotten form lately, having scored just two goals in his last 26 appearances for club and country.
Below you can listen back to the call that certainly wins the shock factor prize. Probably a good thing Adrian Durham didn’t have this debate with Ash!
