Hearn labelled Wilder a ‘f****** waste of time’ and claimed nobody knows who the American heavyweight is, as talks over a mega fight with Joshua continue to drag on

Eddie Hearn labelled Deontay Wilder an ‘idiot’ and a ‘f****** waste of time’ in a scathing attack on the American boxer.

The promoter has been negotiating a potential mega fight between Wilder and Anthony Joshua for well over a year and his patience appears to have finally run out.

Wilder, who faces Tyson Fury on December 1, is demanding a 60-40 split from any potential bout with Joshua, and Hearn has sensationally responded by telling him to “f*** off.”

He said: “Boring-boring, mate f*** off, mate you ain’t earned three million bucks, f*** sake, you can walk up any city, any high street, any town in the world and ask anyone who Deontay Wilder is – no one’s got a f****** clue.

“He ain’t even going to do 300 buys on pay-per-view – he wants 60-40, IDIOT.”

Hearn continued: “F****** don’t waste our time, don’t use Joshua’s name to try and gain a profile and publicity.

“F****** waste of time, waste of my life, if that’s what he really thinks please don’t waste my time – I’m really f****** busy.

“I’ve got no time for time wasters, give me someone that wants to fight Joshua, not talk about it to try and raise their profile.

Hearn proceeded to mock the American by sarcastically chanting ‘there’s only one Deontay Wilder’, before adding: “Yeah there is only one Deontay Wilder and no one knows who he f****** is – you’re the only one who says that.

“It’s just so-so draining, all we do is chase, all we do is make approaches, all we do is make offers, all we do is try and have negotiations.”

Speaking to iFL TV, Hearn also ripped into anyone who believes Wilder wants to fight Joshua.

“I’m sick and tired of those idiots out there who think he wants the fight,” Hearn said.

“How stupid have you got to be to think that Deontay Wilder wants this fight – just listen to what he’s saying.”
