Do Deontay Wilder’s latest social media posts indicate the Anthony Joshua fight is not happening?

NOT NEXT?

The WBC heavyweight champion is less than impressed with AJ and his team

Deontay Wilder has hit out at “scared pussy cat” Anthony Joshua on social media, casting doubt on whether their heavyweight unification bout will happen next.

America’s WBC heavyweight world champion also aimed the swipe at Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn in a comment from Sunday night, which came after he posted a video to taunt the British pair.

The initial mocked up clip, uploaded on Sunday morning, featured falsely translated subtitles on top of a foreign man in which he was portrayed to be laughing at Hearn and Joshua’s refusal to accept the fight so far.

Later on in the day, Wilder started responding to fan comments on his page and declared: “Scared pussy cats they are.”

“I’m sorry you guys have to go through something that’s so f***ing easy to make, but they fear me and they should.

“I talk s*** and back it up, bang bang.”

These comments come as a worrying setback after Wilder announced he had agreed terms and was accepting the fight last week.

It appears WBA mandatory challenger Alexander Povetkin is still in pole position to secure the Anthony Joshua fight next, with Deontay Wilder doing his best to taunt his future opposition into altering this plan.
