It’s not going to be cheap for American viewers to watch the big fight
Deontay Wilder vs Tyson Fury was always going to be a pay-per-view event, but some fans were not expecting it to be quite this expensive.
In America, Showtime have priced the fight at a whopping $ 74.99 (£58.50) for American viewers in HD, almost three times more than the £19.95 that British buyers will have to pay on BT Sport.
The US boxing pay-per-view market is very different to its UK equivalent, leading to this disparity in price points.
Big fights in America such as Floyd Mayweather vs Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather vs Conor McGregor have seen the networks charge $ 99.95 (£78) in the past, while in the UK the biggest bouts don’t rise above the £20 mark.
