The 33-year-old will pen a three-year deal with the Oval club
Liam Plunkett will move from Yorkshire to Surrey at the end of the season, his county side have confirmed.
The 33-year-old England seamer is in the final year of his contract at Headingley.
He will sign a three-year contract with Surrey when his Yorkshire deal expires in September.
Plunkett is a four-time County Championship winner, twice each with Durham and Yorkshire, and he has represented his country 95 times across all three formats.
Yorkshire’s director of cricket Martyn Moxon said: “We are trying to assemble a squad that has availability and is within our budget to compete in all three domestic competitions.
“With that in mind, we are not in a position to be able to offer Liam a new contract.
“He has played a big part in our recent success, and we obviously thank him for that and wish him well for the future.”
