The 23-year-old was unable to become a regular at Elland Road
Reading have signed Chelsea midfielder Lewis Baker on loan until the end of the season.
The Englishman had previously spent spells at Sheffield Wednesday, MK Dons, Vitesse and Middlesbrough before joining Leeds at the start of 2018/19.
Despite being head coach Marcelo Bielsa’s first signing at his new club, Baker failed to become a regular in the Championship leaders’ first eleven.
Now 23, the attacking midfielder is truly at a ‘put up or shut up’ stage in his development.
Therefore he has been recalled halfway through his Leeds loan and instead sent out to join the struggling Royals.
Reading are second from bottom in the Championship, 22 places below United.
