The world heavyweight champion was promoting his upcoming fight with Alexander Povetkin, which you can hear live on talkSPORT
Anthony Joshua was involved in a fiery confrontation with heavyweight contender Jarrell Miller during a New York press conference.
The English fighter was in the United States to promote his upcoming fight with Alexander Povetkin, which you can hear live on talkSPORT on September 22.
During his face-off with the Russian challenger, Joshua was clearly heckled by Miller from the side of the stage.
Rather than allow the contender to get away with it, the usually calm and collected Joshua confronted the American.
Promoter Eddie Hearn stepped in between the heavy hitters, but not before they were able to trade several stinging remarks to one another.
Although it is unclear exactly what was said between the pair, several eye-witnesses claim Joshua hurled expletives at the 30-year-old, who goes by the name ‘Big Baby’.
The Londoner has never been known to lose his cool before, but was clearly irked by the abuse he was receiving from the cocky challenger.
Miller is ranked at No 3 with the IBF and WBA and has not been beaten in 22 fights.
As such, he remains an option to be Joshua’s first stateside opponent after signing with Matchroom’s Boxing’s USA streaming company DAZN.
